"High Temperature and High Pressure Drilling Key Technology Development Status and Prospect"
- This paper, originating from China University of Petroleum (Beijing), analyzes the challenges and development status of high - temperature and high - pressure (HTHP) drilling technology. With the growing demand for deep oil and gas resources in China, drilling in HTHP formations has become more frequent, bringing numerous difficulties. The paper summarizes the current development of HTHP drilling technology from six aspects: formation pressure prediction, wellbore structure optimization, pressure - controlled drilling, high - temperature - resistant drilling fluids, bits and efficient rock breaking, and measurement while drilling and steering tools. It also makes prospects for the development of each aspect. It points out that high temperature is the most urgent problem to be solved in HTHP drilling technology at home and abroad, and there is still a gap between domestic and foreign advanced levels. The paper provides a comprehensive overview for those researching HTHP drilling technology.
